Honoured friends of waterpolo!
During the August in Gradac, the center of local community Makarska riviera, three international waterpolo tournaments for younger cadets, cadets and juniors will take part. Just like in previous years, we expect all three traditional competitions to be the biggest sport events of Summer tourist season in the area, where many European tourists spend their vacation. Gradac and Makarska riviera offer various culture and entertainment possibilities like sport events and are also famous for longest and the most beautiful sand beaches and cleanest sea in Croatia.

When spoken about the competitions (held in three categories - young cadets, cadets and juniors) very important thing is completing of the tourist offer of Gradac and local community as well as the whole Makarska riviera. But, the main purpose of organization of above mentioned four tournaments is the connection and cooperation of Croatian youth with their European colleagues as well as connection with youth of the former Yugoslavian countries and with the youth from distant countries from other continents, such as South Africa, Canada, Egypt, Brazil, and USA.

Along with current contacts with teams from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo, Jadran Neum and others), France, Holland and Romania we shall spread over our cooperation with Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Spain, Norway, Polland, Belgium, Russia, Bulgaria, Sweden, etc.

a) The first tournament - young yuniors (players born in 1994. and younger with an option for playing for three players born in 1994. godine) will be held under the title "The 7th MEMORIAL WATERPOLO TOURNAMENT GRADAC CROATIA 2012". It would have taken part in Gradac in early August (4th-5th) 2012, with male or female teams from Croatia and abroad taking part. Female players could be 4 or 5 years older compared to male teams!

b) The second tournament under the title “11th WATERPOLO GRADAC CRO CUP 2012” is the biggest, the highest quality tournament for juniors born in 1994 and younger (with an optional 3 players born in 1993. godine, female players could be born in 1990 and younger) and is planned to be played in three day competition (17th-19th August 2012).

c) The third tournament (generation 1996 and younger) will be organized for young cadets under the title THE FOURTH (4th) WATERPOLO TURBO CUP CRO GRADAC 2012. This is two days friendly competition and is planned to be held on 29th and 30th of August 2012, for male and female players. Female teams could consist of players born in 1990 and younger.

- IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
The is an interest from Croatian and international teams for organization of the 4th Summer tournament, under name 4th CROATIA GRADAC TROPHY 2012. It is imagined to be young cadets tournament on which boys born in 1999 and 2-3 years older girls could participate. This tournament for youngest male and female players would have taken part in the fourth August weekend (25-26 August 2012) with 6-8 teams taking part in the competition on Gradac's open swimming area „Soline“. On 15.06.2012 latest, based on the number of applied teams and checked accomodation it will be confirmed while the tournament will or will not be held.

Moto of all water polo competitions in Gradac, especially international water polo tournaments for young cadets, cadets, young juniors and juniors of all genders will be in 2012 as in previous years – SPORT YES!, DRUGS AND ALCOHOLE NO!

Along with tournament matches, friendly matches with home teams would also be organized. Teams which will participate in tournaments will be from neighbouring places (Rogotin, Podgora, Tucepi, Makarska), other Dalmatian teams (Dugi Rat, Omis, Vela Luka, Blato, Okrug Gornji near Trogir), from Bosnia and Herzegovina (Jadran Neum and Sarajevo) and European Union. Neighbouring teams will arrive on matches by buses, personal cars or mini vans.

Foreign teams from Europe who want to participate on one or more tournaments we have offeres, especially on 3-day tournaments, taking part in the Summer 2012, especially on the biggest junior tournament – 11th WATERPOLO GRADAC CRO CUP 2012, which will be held from 17th to 19th of August 2012, will have a possibility of accomodation in some of tourist objects or in private apartments with affordable prices.

In Villa "Fefan", 2 or 3 teams (16-18 persons each), can be accomodated for 30-31€/person/day for full pansion (three meals, sleeping, including staying tax). In pansion "Zdravljak" in the very center of the place (owner Mrs. Radojka Krstić) there is enough place for one team for the same price (14-16 persons). Accomodation for 1-2 foreign teams is also available in Villa "Simunovic–Trutina" (owner Mr. Ranko Trutina), with full capacity of 40-45 persons, which should be enough for 2 teams of 16 to 20 persons, with full pansion possibility (3 meals and overnight accomodation). With full pansion reservation in Villa „Simunovic-Trutina“ (breakfast, lunch, dinner) VK Gradac can organize all meals in caffe-restaurant „Eurosport“, which is 30 meters away from Villa, and for the price of 30€/person/day (tax included).

All interested teams should come two days earlier and besides tournaments in Gradac we also leave an option for friendly matches with neighbouring teams in their own places (Makarska area, Neum in BiH, Korcula, Hvar etc.) and R-travel agency – Taxi Bus Service Suco from Gradac owned by Mr. Ante Rubic offered special deals on transportation for friendly matches...

The applications will officially be open on 10.11.2011 and will last until 30.05.2012. The organizers ask for attention to all participating teams to confirm participation timely e-mail, post or fax, signed and marked by the responsible person, because of limited tourist capacities in peak season in Gradac. Therefore, teams are asked to confirm and reserve stay untill 01.06.2012. Your deposit (1000 € for 1 team) will be insured on current account of our "Sportsko društvo Gradac“ (Sport society Gradac), and will cover a part of your total price of accomodation. The rest of the price for full pansion (sleeping, food and tax) teams should pay to owners of chosen tourist objects in cash or by direct deposit on their bank accounts, with which your accomodation would have been confirmed.

Teams would have to pay possible rent of mini van (8+1) or mini bus (17+1) or bus (27, 32 or 45 seats) for friendly matches in area in cash.

Your timely contact and reservation of accomodation, means of transportation (mini van, bus or air transport to Dubrovnik or Split, 100 km from Gradac) would make your stay in Croatia more pleasant.

All foreign teams should bring state flags (70x140cm) and CD-DVD with the state anthem.

The organizer of all four tournaments, VK "Gradac" will ensure trophies in permanent ownings for best 5 teams, for the best singles-individuals (player, shooter, goal keeper) and a trophy for fair play as well as for the most attractive male and female players, best coach and the youngest male and female players. On the "11th Waterpolo Gradac Cro Cup 2012", the trophies will also be awarded for the youngest and the oldest player, fair play and medals (gold, silver and bronze) for three first settled teams. As for "4th Waterpolo turbo Cup Cro Gradac 2012" and „7th Waterpolo Memorial Gradac Cro Cup 2012 “medals (gold, silver, bronze) and the different trophy are ensured.

Waterpolo club Gradac provides the same conditions for all teams participating in tournaments, no matter the team comes from area or abroad, considering free use of swimming area „Soline“ in the morning, afternoon and night and possible organization of the friendly matches in free time, based on the agreement between participating teams at the time. Participation on tournaments is free of charge, just like it was on all previous years! Free use of swimming area, provided by VK Gradac, should be motivating point when making a decision on which tournament to participate in Summer months.
